Carly has an extensive clinical background. Carly is a dual registered nurse and paramedic, and has worked in senior positions across a variety of NHS, private and third sector organisations - including prison and custody, palliative/end of life care and ambulance sector. She has a strong passion for patient safety, providing strategic leadership and expertise both regionally and nationally – including having chaired the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) National Ambulance Risk and Safety Forum. Carly is also currently studying a master’s degree focused on human factors.
Carly’s current role is Deputy Chief of Regulatory Compliance and Improvement/Patient Safety Specialist at North West Ambulance Service.
Carly has strong connections to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, having worked alongside the charity in her role as a paramedic, and living in the Shropshire area.
In her spare time, Carly enjoys cooking, walking her two dogs in the countryside and holidays with family & friends.
