A man appears to have had a very lucky escape after falling approximately 50ft from a tree.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Watling Street in Cannock, near to the OK Diner, shortly before 9.25am and sent an ambulance, a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man, believed to be in his 30s, landed in a house garden after falling from the tree.
“Following assessment from ambulance staff he was treated for injuries to his left arm and lower back. He had also suffered a minor head injury.
“He was given pain relief and immobilised before being transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham by land ambulance for further treatment.
“The man, who was wearing a helmet and protective equipment, appears to have been incredibly fortunate not to have suffered more serious injuries in the incident.”
