The Midlands Air Ambulance along with ambulance crews were called to help an injured cyclist yesterday afternoon in Dudley.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Newland Grove in Dudley at 2.00pm to reports of a cyclist who had reportedly fallen off her bicycle. An ambulance, a paramedic officer, a critical care car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a MERIT trauma doctor on board attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a cyclist, a woman, being cared for by an off-duty nurse and family members. The woman had sustained a potentially serious injury. She was given treatment on scene and crews worked to stabilise her condition before she was conveyed by land ambulance to nearby Russells Hall Hospital for further care.”
