An elderly woman has been taken to a major trauma centre after suffering multiple injuries in a collision with a car.
The collision happened on Colley Lane in Cradley Heath at about 10.25am this morning (Wednesday).
An ambulance, a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, the woman was lying on the road. She had clearly suffered multiple serious injuries.
“Ambulance staff stabilised the woman’s condition, splinted her legs and immobilised her.
“She was then taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham by ambulance with the aircrew travelling with the land crew.”
