West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Croxstalls Road in Bloxwich, shortly after 12.30pm and sent an ambulance, a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance crews discovered the motorbike rider lying in the road.
“He was treated for a serious head injury which had resulted in him suffering a reduced level of consciousness.
“He also received treatment for a knee injury as well as numerous cuts across his body.
