A pedestrian has suffered serious injuries following a collision with a car this afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service received several 999 calls to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian at the junction of Wolverhampton Road and Grove Street, Wolverhampton at 2.22pm. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews discovered a man, the pedestrian, who had suffered multiple serious injuries in the incident.
“He received specialist trauma care from ambulance staff and was transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham by land ambulance.
“The driver of the car, a man, was assessed and discharged at the scene uninjured.”
