A man has suffered serious injuries after being involved in a road traffic collision with a car in Walsall this afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called shortly after 2.30pm today to Bentley Road North, Bentley after reports of an RTC involving a pedestrian. An ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance with a MERIT trauma doctor on board were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance staff arrived on scene to find a pedestrian, a man, who had suffered serious injuries in the collision. The team of medics delivered trauma to treat his injuries and stabilise his condition. The man was immobilised before being taken by land ambulance on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham; The doctor travelled in the ambulance to provide additional treatment to the man en route to A&E.”
