A woman has been airlifted to hospital after a car and tractor collided this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident near to the junction of the A4103 and B4214 in Bishops Frome, at 6.58am. One ambulance, A MERIT doctor with a Critical Care Paramedic, a BASICS doctor from the Mercian Accident Rescue Service and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was trapped inside her car.
“Ambulance staff worked closely with other emergency service colleagues to free the woman, a process which took more than an hour.
“She was treated for serious injuries, not believed to be life-threatening, before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.”
“The tractor driver was uninjured in the incident.”
