The High Sheriff of Worcestershire, Charles Moyle JP, officially opened Midlands Air Ambulance Charity's tenth shop in the Friary Walk Shopping Centre in Worcester on Friday 28th February, surrounded by enthusiastic supporters.
The new store features a wide range of pre-loved items, including clothing, accessories, homeware, books, and more. The shop’s opening weekend was a real success, with shoppers raising essential funds to support the charity’s lifesaving mission. The funds raised will help make two air ambulance missions and two critical care car missions possible.
The charity was delighted that social media influencer Jen Graham, perhaps better known as Charity Shop Girl, also attended the event. She spent time engaging with shoppers and supporters whilst discovering unique treasures to share with her followers. Jen is a well-known advocate for charity shops and is helping reshape the way people view and shop at these community focused stores.
Amy Pates, retail area manager at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity said: "We are truly grateful for the incredible support from the Worcester community. We’ve already had some fantastic volunteers sign up and many local supporters donating their pre-loved items to us. The funds raised through our new shop will directly contribute to our lifesaving missions in Worcestershire, and we couldn’t make this impact without the generosity and enthusiasm of our supporters."
The opening hours of the shop are Monday to Saturday - 9.30am - 5.30pm and Sunday - 11.00am to 5.00pm. To learn more and find out how to donate pre-loved goods to the charity’s Worcester shop, please visit midlandsairambulance.com/charityshops.
