Charity supporter, Lynne Beckett, from Stourport-on-Severn in Worcestershire, is celebrating after raising over £150,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
Lynne who sells charity merchandise, toys and books on eBay, has raised the funds over several years and was originally named Ebay for Charity’s top individual charity seller in 2016 when she raised £100,000, and she’s now hit the next major milestone for the lifesaving charity.
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which does not receive any Government or National Lottery funding, needs to raise in excess of £9 million every year to undertake up to six air ambulance missions every day.
A spokesperson for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Lynne has been fundraising for the charity for over nine years, and her latest achievement means she has funded over 60 lifesaving air ambulance missions in total.
“Her support is hugely appreciated by all at the charity, and the patients we have been able to save the lives of thanks to her fundraising.”
Nick Aldridge, chief executive officer for the PayPal Giving Fund, stated: “We are extremely proud to have been able to support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity on its eBay journey. This significant milestone illustrates the power of the eBay for Charity programme in enabling customers to support their favourite charities while they buy and sell on eBay.”
Lynne Beckett added: “I’m really thrilled to have raised such a significant amount of money for such a worthwhile charity. I’d like to thank everyone who purchases from me via eBay, and to my husband and friends who are great assistants with sorting, cleaning and packaging items to sell.”
