The Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Bev Pope, officially opened Midlands Air Ambulance Charity's newest shop on Gloucester Road in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, to an eager crowd of supporters on Friday 20th December.
The new shop offers a wide selection of pre-loved treasures, including clothing, accessories, homeware, toys, and more. The shop’s first day of trading was a resounding success, with savvy shoppers raising vital funds to support the charity’s vital work. The amount raised will fund seven lifesaving critical care car missions, bringing care to those who need it most.
Rachael Abi Rached, head of retail at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity said: "We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from the Ross-on-Wye community. The funds raised through our new shop will directly support our lifesaving missions in Herefordshire, and we couldn’t do it without the generosity and enthusiasm of our supporters."
The charity is also calling on the community to lend a helping hand by volunteering at the new shop. Volunteering offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while gaining valuable experience. Roles are available for those who enjoy assisting customers, sorting and pricing donations, or supporting the shop’s day-to-day operations. There’s a position to suit everyone who wants to get involved.
With its welcoming atmosphere and wide selection of items, the new shop in Ross-on-Wye is set to become a vibrant hub for both shoppers and volunteers, all while supporting the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
The usual opening hours of the shop will be: Monday to Saturday - 9.00 am - 5.00 pm and Sunday - 10.00 am - 4.00 pm. To learn more, donate pre-loved goods to the charity’s Ross-On-Wye shop and for more information, please visit midlandsairambulance.com/charityshops.
