Midlands Air Ambulance Charity
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s partnership with The Tipton & Coseley Building Society, based in the heart of the West Midlands, plays a crucial role in funding the charity’s lifesaving operations, which rely heavily on from the support of local businesses and the general public.
Recently, the charity’s mascot, Maac, visited the building society’s Tipton branch with Jon Cottrell, senior partnership executive for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
Jon commented: "During the visit, we spoke with the building society’s customers, raised awareness about our charity’s lifesaving pre-hospital emergency service, and discussed The Tipton’s Midlands Air Ambulance Saver Account. It was wonderful to see so many customers learning how their savings accounts are making a meaningful impact through our partnership."

The Midlands Air Ambulance Saver account offers a unique opportunity for supporters to aid the charity’s daily missions without any additional cost. The Tipton make a donation at the end of each year to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity based on the average balances held in these accounts. Since its launch in 2021, this initiative has raised over £27,000, helping to fund vital emergency missions across the West Midlands.
In addition to the savings account, staff at the building society actively engage in various fundraising activities to support the charity. The team also hosted a sponsored bike-a-thon in its Tipton branch, using a static bike. As well as this, all four of The Tipton & Cosley’s branches will be stocking Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s beloved Christmas cards. This year’s card selection features beautifully crafted designs, providing a meaningful way for supporters to share the joy of the season and support the charity.
