The countdown is on for one of Worcestershire’s most highly anticipated business events, the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards.
Worcestershire’s leading tourism businesses will be honoured for their exceptional contributions to the industry at a prestigious celebration on Friday 21 March, at the Three Counties Showground.
Adding further excitement, the event will be hosted by Chris Bavin, TV presenter and food expert. Known for his charisma and passion for British produce, Chris will bring a dynamic energy to the ceremony, ensuring an unforgettable night for all attendees.
This year, the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has been named as the official charity partner for the event. The organisation is responsible for funding and operating three air ambulance helicopters and a fleet of critical care cars serving the communities across the heart of England which includes Worcestershire. A prize raffle will be drawn on the evening to help raise funds to support the charity’s lifesaving work.
Councillor Adam Kent, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Economy and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards are always a highlight of the year, celebrating the outstanding businesses that make our county a fantastic destination for visitors. This year’s event promises to be even more special with the brilliant Chris Bavin as our host, bringing his energy and passion for British hospitality to the stage.”
“I’m also delighted that Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has been chosen as the official charity partner, a truly deserving organisation that provides lifesaving services across Worcestershire and beyond. I look forward to an evening of celebration, recognising the hard work and dedication that make Worcestershire’s tourism sector thrive.”
