New Charity Shop Lands On The High Street

Monday 19th June 2017

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has opened a new charity shop in Stafford Town Centre, to help raise vital funds for the charity, and has called on local people for their support.

The shop on Gaolgate Street which was officially opened by The Worshipful the Mayor of Stafford Borough, Councillor Aidan Godfrey, is in need of donations of quality unwanted items, to keep the shop fully stocked.

Anil Gupta, head of retail for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity explains: “In 2016, our three existing charity shops raised over £300,000, funding 120 lifesaving air ambulance missions.

“Our shops would not exist, however, without the support of local people who kindly donate items. We are currently in need of quality unwanted furniture and can arrange a free collection of these items. We would ask supporters who would like to donate furniture to us to call the Stafford shop on 01785 336 541.”

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity currently has three other charity shops in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Wellington in Shropshire and West Bromwich in the West Midlands. The charity relies solely on donations from members of the public and local businesses and needs to raise over £7 million every year to fund the air ambulance service.

The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity Stafford shop is now open Monday - Saturday, 9am - 5pm.
