Specialists in wills, probate, and estate administration, PSL Probate Solicitors, in Knowle near Solihull, has become the latest partner to sign up to offer Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Free Will Writing Service.

PSL Probate Solicitors based in the West Midlands has joined Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Free Will Writing Service, offering individuals aged 50 and over the opportunity to make their Will for free. The local legal firm has joined a selection of firms that the charity partners with, to offer this service which has been in place for over 10 years.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s highly skilled flight doctors and critical care paramedics have responded to more than 75,000 missions since the service launched in 1991. Four in ten of those missions are funded through gifts left in Wills by kind supporters.

As part of the partnership, PSL Probate Solicitors will promote the charity’s Free Will Writing Service while raising awareness of how vital legacy donations are to the charity and the significant role they play in saving lives within the local community.

Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: "Around 40 per cent of all our missions are funded through the legacies we receive from those generous supporters who have kindly left a gift to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity in their Will. People in Solihull, and the surrounding area, who are considering writing or updating their Will can now do this free of charge with the team at PSL in partnership with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Anyone who leaves a gift to our charity will be making daily lifesaving missions possible in their local area as part of their legacy."

Caroline Wilden, solicitor at PSL Probate Solicitors, added: “We are proud to be named as the latest firm to join Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Free Will Writing Service.

“Will writing is an area of law we specialise in. Research[1] shows more than a third of UK adults do not have a Will in place so our mission is to assist the residents in Knowle and the surrounding areas to complete this very easy process, ensuring their wishes are carried out after their death.”

The service is available to those aged 50 and over that live within the region served by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Although a donation is not expected to use this free service, most individuals do request that a gift is detailed within their Will. A nominal fee is paid by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity to the participating solicitors. Those interested in finding out more can visit the: Free Will Writing Service page.
