Shropshire is home to the oldest of our three airbases, RAF Cosford, which houses our largest wholly-owned air ambulance, the H145. This was purchased in February 2018, and allows the crew to fly further for longer, and can carry a passenger, for example a parent if a child is being airlifted.
It has also been selected at the location of choice for our new airbase and charity headquarters, details of which can be found here.
